For ADHD minds
An ADHD task manager for Mac that does not need you to open it.
Most to-do apps fail ADHD brains at the first step, not the last. The thought shows up in the middle of something else, the app is a window away, and by the time it is open the thought is gone. Notchable moves capture into the notch, hands the sorting to AI, and keeps the timer in view. It is a one-time purchase for macOS 15 and later.
3 days, every feature, no account.

Captured as: “eod send invoice to studio kai”, “call the landlord in 15 minutes”, “record demo video at 3, first cut the script”.
Built around the moments where lists break
Capture takes one hover.
The notch is on screen in every app and every Space. Hover it, say or type the thought, and move away. There is no window to find, no project to pick first, and no moment where the thought can escape.
Sorting is not your job.
The AI sets the date and time, the priority, the category and a time estimate, and cleans up the title. "Call the landlord in 15 minutes" becomes a timed task; "maybe repaint the fence" goes to Someday. You never fill a form.
Today is short on purpose.
Only tasks with a date or explicit urgency land in Today. Everything else waits in the Inbox to be triaged when you have the energy. Overdue items sit at the top where they cannot hide.
The timer lives where you look.
Start a focus session and the notch widens to show the ring and the countdown. It follows you into every app and shrinks back when you stop. Time stays visible without becoming another tab.
Small wins are built in.
Sub-tasks break a scary task into five-minute steps. The recommendation engine prefers quick wins when it suggests what to do next. Completing a task is satisfying on purpose: a spring, a check, a little haptic.
Nothing to migrate to.
Tasks sync both ways with Apple Reminders, so they are on your phone and your Watch already. When the day needs structure, the same tasks open in a native desktop app with projects and a weekly review.
A day with Notchable
9:02. You are reading a pull request and remember the invoice. Hover, “eod send invoice to Studio Kai”, move away. It is in Today with a 5 PM time and a Finance label. You never left the browser.
11:40. A meeting produces four follow-ups. You say them in one breath. Four tasks, each with its own date, one of them Someday because you said “at some point”.
14:00. The hard thing. You press play on it. The notch widens into a ring and a countdown that stay with you across Xcode, Slack and the terminal. Twenty-five minutes later it shrinks back.
17:30. On the train you tick off two tasks in Reminders on your phone. On the Mac they are already done.
Sunday. You open the desktop app, look at the weekly review, drag five Inbox items into projects, and close it. That is the whole planning ritual.
What it is not
- It is a Mac app. Your phone gets the tasks through Apple Reminders, not a separate Notchable app.
- It does not do shared lists or team projects.
- It is a productivity tool, not a medical one. If a task system has never worked for you, that is a design problem we are trying to solve, not a personal failing.
